Private Acupuncture Sessions

What is Private Acupuncture?

Private acupuncture offers one-on-one, tailored treatment in a calm and confidential environment. Unlike community-style care, sessions occur in a private room, allowing for deeper diagnosis, more points, and focused attention. The acupuncturist can address complex or layered conditions using both body and ear points, as well as adjunct modalities.

What is private acupuncture good for?

  • Private acupuncture is ideal when you need:
  • More personalized treatment and focused attention
  • Deeper protocols for chronic or complex issues
  • Diagnostic feedback and adjustments during a session
  • Integration of complementary supportive therapies (e.g., moxa, cupping, tui-na)
  • Privacy, rest, and a slower pacing to enhance relaxation

Conditions often supported by private acupuncture include musculoskeletal pain, digestive imbalances, fertility, hormonal issues, insomnia, emotional distress, migraines, autoimmune symptoms, and chronic fatigue.

What to expect at Errant Empire

When you come in for your private acupuncture session:

  • Check-in & Intake
We’ll start by reviewing your health history, current concerns, and any recent changes.
  • Treatment
You rest fully clothed on a treatment table. Needles may be inserted into limbs, torso, scalp, auricular points, or other meridians as tailored for your concerns. Additional techniques like moxibustion or cupping, may be used when appropriate.
  • Integration & Aftercare
After your session, you’ll have time to rest quietly. You’ll receive personalized self-care guidance, and may be offered herbal medicine, a warming tea, or acupressure suggestions to support the treatment’s effect.

We often recommend a series of treatments to allow cumulative healing — especially for deeper or chronic conditions.

Fee Schedule and Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the practitioner’s day that could have been filled by another patient. As such, we require 24 hours notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Patients who provide less than 24 hours notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee to the card on file.
