This platform is designed to bring the experience of an herbal medicine dispensary to the online world. Through this platform an individual is able to:
- Ask a Medical Herbalist whether or not the herb is right for them
- Design your own custom herbal tincture & tea formulas
- Talk with a Medical Herbalist on demand
- Have a custom herbal formula designed for you by a Medical Herbalist
- Act as an online resource to help share information freely so that the individual can take back their sovereignty in health
So many of the plants we use come from all around the world. We are in the process and forever striving towards re-localizing herbal medicine. We currently stock our dispensary with therapeutic grade tinctures from our partners in the United Kingdom. We have started to develop the relationships here at home with farmers and wild-crafters to source sustainable herbal medicine. Our vision is to support Farmers in Canada, the United States & Mexico. We have the licenses, equipment and techniques to produce our own medicine. This is the future of herbal medicine in North America.

Tincture Extracts
Our Herbal Medicine alcohol extracts are therapeutic grade. Our partners in the UK have perfected the herbal extraction process with the majority of their herbal tinctures being Certified Organic.
We currently have partners in Canada growing and sustainably sourcing wild-crafted plants so we can produce and stock our dispensary with local, fresh plant extracts. Join our mailing list to receive updates.

All of our dried herb inventory is sourced locally in British Columbia or regionally in North America (Canada, The United States & Mexico). Our vision is to re-localize herbal medicine and source as close to home as possible.
David Shaw
Medical Herbalist – c.N.C
David is the founder of Errant Empire Herbal Medicine Dispensary and is a practising Medical Herbalist within the greater Victoria area. He began his holistic health journey after graduating from the 2 year Holistic Nutrition program at Bauman College in 2015. After immigrating to Canada, David completed the Diploma of Phytotherapy at Pacific Rim College in the Spring of 2019.

David’s Diploma of Phytotherapy included:
- 500+ clinical practice hours
- 750+ hours herbal medicine educational hours &
- 480 hours of biomedical sciences
Currently David’s practice revolves around working with family’s including: parents, grandparents and children as well as with people who have chronic health conditions.
David is a Registered Herbal Therapist (RHT) with the Canadian Herbalist’s Association of British Columbia, the oldest regulating body of Herbal Medicine in North America.
David’s newest creation is the Dispensary & Clinic on 1316 Esquimalt Road in Victoria, BC. Opening a modern western herbal medicine dispensary is the dream of so many herbalists. David’s next plans are to share his experience of this process, developing classes and workshops to help new herbalist have an advantage in starting their own shop in a new emerging market.
Each person has a starting point that led them from where they were to where they are currently. David’s path began with helping specific family members through chronic health conditions. He worked alongside conventional medicine practitioners with the goal to increase the family member’s optimal health. His passion for herbal medicine and holistic care is rooted in returning the sovereignty back in the hands of the patient.
We are designed to heal, nature invites us to do so; plants help facilitate this process.
