What to expect at Errant Empire?

Once you check in at the receptionist you can enter in to the clinic, remove your shoes and find an open chair.  If the acupuncturist is with another patient, they will be with with you shortly.

If this is your initial appointment the acupuncturist will complete your intake, explain the process and help ease you in to the session.  If this is a follow-up appointment – you and the acupuncturist will have a quick review of your previous session and discuss the next steps in your treatment plan.

After your treatment their is a complementary tea or herbal medicine tincture to potentiate the treatment on your way home.

Set up a follow-up appointment! For many conditions it is often recommended for multiple acupuncture treatments for optimal results – the low cost of community acupuncture offers a huge benefit to achieve multiple appointments each month.

When coming to a Community Acupuncture Treatment

• Wear loose fitting clothing – especially at the forearm and the legs.  Most of the needles used in the community model are placed in the hands and arms up to the elbows, on the feet up the legs to the knee and sometimes on the head, face and ears.
• We have blankets, heating pads and pillows but if you need more comfort feel free to bring some additional items.
• Other items you can bring include:
  • Eye mask to fully block out the light
  • Ear plugs or headphones for your own music
