The Herbal Collective started as a newsletter which grew to a magazine that circulated from Victoria, B.C. on Vancouver Island to as far north as Campbell River, B.C. It was also delivered to locations in Vancouver, B.C. and the Lower Mainland.
It is now a global media site reaching people across Canada and the U.S. (our top countries) as well as other countries around the world. It’s a treasure trove of information that will guide you to making decisions for a naturally healthy lifestyle.

Raising Son’s Herbals

As the name of my little business suggests, I have two sons, G who is 6 and F who is 5. The two of them totally changed my life. I used to be the do everything woman until I crashed. To make a long story short I realized that I needed a change. So here I am, making a change. I am happily attending the Pacific Rim College to expand my knowledge of herbs and botanical magic in the dual diploma of Phytotherapy and Acupuncture program and i’m spending more time with my family. Especially my children.
Through my healing journey what I have realized the most is that, especially with kids, nothing is perfect and we have very, very little control over that. We can either go with the flow of whatever life will bring us or we can go kicking and screaming, but either way, we will go.
I want to create products that other parents can relate to, use in their lives with their kids. I also want to create them WITH my kids. To be able to share knowledge of the earth and some entrepreneurial skills with my sons makes me feel as though I am playing a big role in the future of our world.

We were two best ‘buds’ living in a Garden Suite in North Vancouver; with an abundant, overgrown garden at our doorstep. We couldn’t help but cover our suite with all the mesmerizing blooms that kept popping up over the season, a new surprise and opportunity for appreciation each day. A serious attachment formed to these little ‘sweet’ hearts, as we let them dry in bouquets organically.
The flowers were wise little messengers asking for nothing in return for their beauty. Suddenly we realised we were living in a floral jungle.. and with enough creative curiosity, the message came…
Could we actually keep these babies alive forever, blending art with the beauty nature provides us with? The flowers answered a clear yes!… as if we were in ‘The Garden of Live flowers’ scene of Alice in wonderland.
